This role combines strategic thinking, relationship leadership and commercial execution. You will lead Aware Super's B2B growth and partnership agenda, identifying opportunities to expand our reach, strengthen our market presence and deliver sustainable growth that benefits our members.
You will build and deepen trusted relationships with senior leaders across government, the public sector, major employers, unions, advisers, associations and strategic partners. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will help translate market opportunities into meaningful commercial outcomes while ensuring our member-first purpose remains at the centre of everything we do.
You will also play an important role in bringing market insights back into the organisation, helping to shape future propositions, partner experiences, campaigns and go-to-market strategies.
What you will be responsible for:
- Develop and deliver Aware Super's commercial growth, business development, distribution and strategic partnerships strategy.
- Identify, evaluate and progress significant growth opportunities across existing and emerging channels.
- Lead major commercial opportunities, including proposals, presentations, negotiations and partnership discussions.
- Build and maintain a strong enterprise pipeline supported by effective account planning, forecasting and performance management.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with senior stakeholders across government, enterprise, public sector and industry networks.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure commercial opportunities align with Aware Super's strategic priorities and member outcomes.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, learning and continuous improvement.
- Represent Aware Super externally with professionalism, integrity and influence across industry and market forums.
How you will make an impact:
You are an experienced commercial leader who combines strategic thinking with strong relationship-building capability and a passion for creating positive outcomes.
You may have gained your experience in financial services, superannuation, wealth management or another complex, highly regulated or relationship-driven industry.
We'd love to hear from you if you bring:
- Experience leading commercial growth, business development, strategic partnerships, distribution or related enterprise growth functions.
- A track record of developing and progressing complex commercial opportunities from relationship development through to negotiation and implementation.
- The ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders across large and complex organisations.
- Experience leading and developing teams while creating an environment where people can perform, grow and succeed.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Experience within financial services, superannuation, wealth management, advice or a related sector would be highly regarded.
- We recognise that careers and experiences look different for everyone. If you're excited by this opportunity but don't meet every requirement listed above, we still encourage you to apply. We value diverse experiences, transferable skills and different perspectives.
