Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) is seeking an experienced RTO Quality and Compliance Officer to support the effective governance and continuous improvement of our Registered Training Organisation.

Working within our Education Division, you will play a key role in ensuring our training and assessment operations meet the Standards for RTOs 2025, VET Quality Framework, ASQA requirements and other applicable regulatory and contractual obligations.

What You'll Do:

As our RTO Quality and Compliance Officer, you will:

Monitor and maintain RTO compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2025, VET Quality Framework, Australian Qualifications Framework and relevant regulatory requirements
Conduct internal audits, quality assurance reviews, compliance monitoring and sampling activities
Identify compliance gaps and risks and coordinate rectification, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
Coordinate and submit regulatory and contractual reporting, including AVETMISS, Quality Indicator, DTET and other state and national reporting requirements
Develop, review and maintain RTO policies, procedures, compliance documentation, registers and quality frameworks
Maintain oversight of trainer and assessor qualifications, endorsements, competencies and industry/VET currency
Monitor the integrity and accuracy of student records and RTO data within aXcelerate and associated education systems
Maintain continuous improvement activities, including feedback, registers, action plans and quality reviews
Support training product development, resource reviews, mapping, validation and training package transitions
Monitor the compliance of learning and assessment resources, online enrolment systems, LMS platforms, websites and education-related digital resources
Support external audit enquiries and regulatory activities
Provide practical compliance guidance and training to staff, trainers and assessors
Build strong compliance awareness across the Education Division through consultation, communication and stakeholder engagement

About You:

You’ll bring strong practical RTO experience and be confident working across compliance, systems, reporting and quality assurance.

Hold a Working with Children Blue Card (or the ability to obtain one)
Minimum three years’ experience working within a Registered Training Organisation
TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training, equivalent or higher-level adult education qualification
Strong working knowledge of the Standards for RTOs 2025 and Australian VET regulatory environment
Demonstrated experience conducting RTO internal audits and quality assurance activities
Experience identifying compliance risks and implementing effective corrective and risk mitigation strategies
Experience preparing, validating and reviewing AVETMISS and RTO data
Experience using a Student Management System such as aXcelerate, VETtrak or similar
Experience maintaining compliant student records, awards and certification processes
Strong written communication, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
A practical, solutions-focused approach to quality and continuous improvement
