As part of our Digital Customer Experience team, you'll architect and deliver high-impact solutions that make claiming seamless, intuitive, and human-centred. From reimagining our claims journey to building next-generation customer portals, your work will be felt by every customer who interacts with our digital platforms.
This will be achieved through:
- Driving architectural decisions for customer-facing applications, balancing technical excellence with business outcomes
- Leading by example in code quality, testing practices, and system design across our modern tech stack
- Collaborating directly with product and design teams to translate customer needs into elegant technical solutions
- Championing best practices and mentor team members, elevating engineering standards across the organisation
- Modernising legacy systems whilst building new cloud-native applications using serverless-first principles
- Influencing technical strategy for our digital transformation, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative approaches
- Owning end-to-end delivery from conception through to production, including monitoring, performance optimisation, and maintenance
What are we looking for?
- Expertise in modern web technologies - React, TypeScript, Node.js, with experience in responsive, accessible UI development
- Strong backend engineering skills - .NET Core/5+, RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven design
- Cloud-native mindset - AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3), serverless architectures, and infrastructure as code
- Database proficiency - SQL Server, PostgreSQL, with understanding of both relational and NoSQL data patterns
- DevOps fluency - CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, and observability practices
- Communication excellence - ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders and build consensus around solutions
- Customer-first thinking - passion for building experiences that genuinely improve people's lives during challenging times
- Excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, and analytical and critical thinking
