In this role, you'll:
Lead the project governance function within the PMO Governance, Assurance and Standards team, ensuring governance forums are effectively established and run to support transparent, evidence-based decision-making across the portfolio.

You will provide oversight across all project stages, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks and stage-gate requirements, while identifying risks, issues, or variances and escalating where needed.
Drive consistency across a diverse portfolio, adapting governance approaches to suit both technology and non-technology initiatives.

About you

Strong experience applying governance and assurance frameworks within large, complex programs, ideally in the public sector.
Proven capability managing executive governance forums, including preparing decision papers and maintaining accurate, audit-ready records.
Sound understanding of NSW Government investment and assurance processes.
Ability to analyse portfolio performance across cost, schedule, and risk, and translate insights into clear recommendations.
Experience improving governance practices through frameworks, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Tertiary qualifications in project management, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Certification in a recognised project management methodology (e.g. PRINCE2, PMI, AIPM or equivalent)
