We are seeking an experienced Training Governance and Compliance Lead to play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, compliance and continuous improvement of training delivery across a major Defence training program. You will play an influential role in driving governance frameworks, Registered Training Organisation (RTO) compliance, and quality assurance activities that underpin operational success. Working across a diverse stakeholder network, you will ensure training systems, processes and services meet Defence requirements, regulatory obligations and industry best practice.

Description
Lead Training Governance & Compliance – Maintain and enhance governance frameworks, policies and processes to ensure training delivery meets Defence, contractual and regulatory requirements.
Drive Training Quality & Improvement – Lead audits, reviews and quality assurance activities to evaluate effectiveness, uphold standards and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Expand RTO Capability – Grow CAE’s RTO scope of registration by engaging stakeholders and leading successful implementation projects.
Oversee RTO Compliance – Ensure ongoing compliance with ASQA standards, VET regulations, assessment requirements and reporting obligations.
Provide Trusted Governance Expertise – Partner with stakeholders to deliver guidance on Defence learning frameworks, training governance and compliance requirements.
Manage Assurance, Risk & Records – Coordinate audits, manage compliance documentation, monitor risks and non-conformances, and maintain accurate regulatory records.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in training governance, compliance, quality assurance or RTO management.
Strong knowledge of the Australian vocational education and training (VET) sector and ASQA requirements.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122)
Professional experience in governance, compliance, training or quality management environments.
Ability to obtain/maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance – must be an Australian Citizen
Ability to work on-site at Randwick Barracks, 5 days a week
Preferred Qualifications
Diploma of Vocational Education (TAE50116 / TAE50122) or equivalent
RTO management and compliance experience.
Defence or Australian Defence Force training experience as an instructor, trainer, training developer, or equivalent.
Knowledge of Defence learning frameworks and training systems.
