Salary: $78,000 – $88,000 per annum + Superannuation

Glastonburys Bar and Kitchen is a vibrant restaurant and bar located in the heart of Northbridge, WA. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional food, outstanding customer service, and a welcoming dining experience. Our kitchen is driven by creativity, quality, and consistency, and we are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team.

About the Role

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while maintaining exceptional food safety and kitchen standards. You will work closely with management and the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations and an outstanding dining experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare, cook and present high-quality restaurant and bar menu items in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.

· Plan and develop seasonal menus, daily specials and new dishes in consultation with management.

· Estimate food and labour costs, monitor stock levels and minimise food wastage.

· Order food supplies and liaise with suppliers to ensure the availability of fresh, high-quality ingredients.

· Supervise food preparation and cooking activities to ensure consistency, quality and timely service.

· Monitor portion control, food presentation and quality to maintain high customer satisfaction.

· Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation and workplace health and safety regulations.

· Inspect food preparation processes and finished dishes to maintain quality standards.

· Train, mentor and supervise cooks, apprentices and other kitchen staff.

· Coordinate kitchen operations during busy service periods and assist in maintaining an organised and efficient kitchen.

· Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and an exceptional customer experience.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

· Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management, or an equivalent qualification.

· At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Chef.

· Strong knowledge of modern Australian cuisine and contemporary cooking techniques.

· Excellent understanding of food safety standards, HACCP principles and kitchen hygiene practices.

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant and bar environment.

· Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills.

· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
