Casual Chef – Hillarys Yacht Club
Hillarys Yacht Club is seeking a qualified and experienced Casual Chef to join our kitchen team. HYC is a busy multi-outlet venue encompassing a restaurant, function/event catering, and multiple bar venues, offering varied and dynamic shift work for the right candidate.
About the Role
As a Casual Chef, you'll work across our kitchen operations supporting à la carte service, functions, and events. Shifts will vary based on operational needs, including weekends and event days.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to a consistently high standard
- Work efficiently across sections during service and events
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the kitchen and FOH team to ensure smooth service
- Assist with prep for functions and events as required
About You
- Trade-qualified chef (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent) with proven kitchen experience
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings
- A team player with a positive, professional attitude
