Gibney Winner of Gourmet Traveller's ‘Best Restaurant’ WA, Gibney is Perth's most significant restaurant opening in years and the first ever restaurant overlooking South Cottesloe Beach. Gibney is high-end brasserie grill that draws inspiration for its menu from classic bistro flavours and service that exudes exclusivity and style; think table-side service, luxurious snacks, a caviar bar and extensive wine list.
What we need from you?
Key responsibilities include:
- · Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in accordance with Gibney's culinary standards.
- · Assist in the planning and development of seasonal menus and daily specials.
- · Maintain consistency, quality and presentation across all service periods.
- · Monitor food quality, portion control and minimise food waste.
- · Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
- · Supervise, train and mentor junior kitchen staff where required.
- · Assist with stock ordering, stock rotation and inventory control.
- · Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen brigade to deliver efficient and exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
Essential requirements:
- · Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Higher qualification, or at least three years of relevant full-time experience as a Chef.
- · Demonstrated experience working in a high-volume, quality-focused restaurant.
- · Strong knowledge of contemporary cooking techniques and food safety practices.
- · Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining high standards.
- · Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- · Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

This is a full-time permanent position (minimum 38 hours per week) based in Cottesloe, Western Australia. The successful applicant will receive an annual salary of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience.
