About the opportunity:
The Product Engineer reports to the Engineering Design and Manufacturing Manager and is part of the Engineering team. The key focus of this role is to improve design quality and manufacturability through strong technical support and cross functional collaboration. More specifically, you will:
- Develop and maintain engineering technical documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes, and quality systems
- Provide technical guidance and support to drafting, production, site and internal teams to ensure accurate and manufacturable designs
- Interpret specifications, codes, and customer requirements into detailed, build ready drawings and standard product details
- Review and approve engineering drawings and documentation for accuracy, compliance, and production suitability
- Support the resolution of design and production issues through practical, timely engineering solutions
- Contribute to product development initiatives, including design changes, enhancements, and supporting documentation
- Act as a key link between engineering, drafting, and manufacturing to support efficient project delivery
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, driving design optimisation and workflow efficiency
About you:
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will:
- Tertiary Qualification in engineering discipline such as Civil or Structural engineering
- Knowledge of construction methods and building principles
- Understanding drawing processes and workflows, and how designs move from concept to manufacture
- Strong proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and/or Inventor
- Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and cross functional collaboration skills
- Knowledge of quality standards and continuous improvement
