Your role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Pre-Sales Lead to join the SAP Centre of Excellence (CoE). Working closely with the CoE Head, this role will act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders, providing leadership across SAP transformation initiatives, pursuit activities, solution design, delivery assurance, and practice development.

The successful candidate will combine deep SAP expertise with strong commercial acumen to support complex client engagements, shape transformational opportunities, and ensure successful delivery outcomes across SAP S/4HANA and broader enterprise transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Advisory

Act as a trusted advisor to clients undertaking digital transformation and SAP modernization initiatives.
Facilitate executive workshops, discovery sessions, assessments, and roadmap development activities.
Provide strategic guidance on business transformation, operating model design, cloud adoption, and SAP-enabled business change.
Develop trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and executive sponsors.

Solution shaping

Drive solutioning activities for SAP transformation opportunities and pursuits.
Shape end-to-end solution strategies aligned to client business objectives.
Review and challenge solution architecture, delivery approaches, implementation plans, and commercial models.
Ensure alignment between business requirements, SAP capabilities, and delivery objectives.
Business Development & Growth
Support pre-sales activities, RFP responses, client presentations, and proposal development.
Contribute to SAP pipeline growth through opportunity identification and account development.
Collaborate with sector, sales, and alliance teams to develop compelling client value propositions.
Assist in the development of business cases and executive-level transformation strategies.

Practice & CoE Leadership

Contribute to the development of SAP CoE assets, accelerators, methodologies, and thought leadership.

Mentor consultants, architects, and delivery leads across the practice.

Support capability development, skills growth, and the adoption of emerging SAP technologies.

Share lessons learned and best practices across engagements to improve delivery excellence.

Stakeholder Management

Work closely with SAP capability leads, sector leaders, delivery executives, architects, and client stakeholders.

Act as a trusted partner to the SAP CoE leadership team where required.

Provide informed recommendations to support strategic decision-making across client and internal initiatives.

Your Profile

Skills & Experience

Essential

Demonstrated experience delivering SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, or transformation initiatives.

Experience in solution shaping, pursuit leadership, and proposal development.

Strong stakeholder management skills with senior-level communication capability.

Proven ability to influence decisions across business and technology stakeholders.

Strong understanding of delivery governance, risk management, and transformation execution.

Australian citizen (or can obtain clearance)

Preferred

Experience across multiple industries including Public Sector, Utilities, Manufacturing, Consumer Products, Energy, or Resources.

Exposure to SAP cloud solutions, Business Technology Platform (BTP), AI, data, integration, and enterprise architecture.

Experience within a consulting or professional services environment.

SAP certifications and relevant transformation qualifications.

Increased SAP pipeline conversion and win rates.

Successful delivery outcomes across strategic SAP engagements.

Growth of SAP CoE capability, assets, and market presence.

Development and mentoring of future SAP leaders.

Operates independently across complex client and internal environments.

Remuneration for this role is structured in accordance with this award, with classification level and salary determined based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications.
