The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Microgrid Solution Architect to join our Pacific Microgrid team.
Reporting to the Microgrid Leader, you will be the technical and commercial leader responsible for designing, positioning and enabling Schneider Electric's Microgrid solutions across the Pacific region. Acting as the bridge between customers, sales, engineering and project delivery teams, you will help transform Microgrid opportunities into scalable, profitable and repeatable business outcomes.
Working closely with customers, consultants, business development teams and Schneider Electric's global Microgrid community, you will develop innovative energy solutions that support the energy transition, improve resilience and enable customers to achieve their sustainability goals.
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of Schneider Electric's fastest-growing businesses while helping shape the future direction of the Pacific Zone Microgrid strategy.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Partner with customers, consultants and sales teams to recommend and develop optimal Microgrid architectures and use cases.

Design innovative Microgrid solutions leveraging Schneider Electric's market-leading technologies and platforms.

Act as the subject matter expert for Microgrid solutions, electrification and distributed energy resources.

Prepare and present high-quality technical and commercial proposals that address customer requirements and business objectives.

Lead technical discussions, solution demonstrations and customer presentations.
-
Assess customer requirements and identify opportunities to leverage standard solutions while qualifying custom engineering requirements where necessary.

Participate in technical peer reviews, solution governance and proposal approval processes.

Provide support during project handover to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to execution teams.

Collaborate with country operations teams and global stakeholders to establish technical standards and best practices.

Deliver training and capability development initiatives for tender managers, engineers and sales teams.
-
Support the onboarding and enablement of new Microgrid EcoXperts across the Pacific region.

Represent Schneider Electric as a thought leader within the Microgrid, energy transition and electrification markets.

In Addition, You Have the Following Skills

Minimum 3 years' experience in technical pre-sales, tendering, solution design or a related engineering role.

Passion for decarbonisation, electrification and emerging energy technologies.

Strong understanding of automation platforms such as EPAS, EcoStruxure Automation Expert and/or Machine Expert.

Knowledge of low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems.
-
Experience with industrial communication protocols including Modbus, IEC61850 and DNP3.
-
Excellent stakeholder engagement, presentation and communication skills.
-
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to develop compelling customer value propositions.
-
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and manage competing priorities.
-
Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
-
Results-driven, resilient and highly customer focused.
The Following Will Be Highly Regarded

Experience with EcoStruxure Microgrid Operation and Microgrid Advisor.

Strong understanding of Microgrid architectures, applications and control strategies.
-
Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and containerised energy storage solutions.
-
Experience within utility, renewable energy, industrial automation or distributed energy environments.
-
Knowledge of utility markets, electricity tariffs and incentive schemes.
-
Experience with energy modelling and optimisation of solar PV and battery storage solutions.
-
Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Renewable Energy or a related discipline.
