Full Job Description

EIH Care are seeking a compassionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to support clients based in Preston & St. Kilda

As a Support Worker, you will provide individualized support to participants living in an SDA property or their own home.

This role requires availability for mid-week morning and day shifts.

About the role :

Duties include:

Providing personal care, including showering, dressing and grooming
A mixture of in-home support, as well as community support.
Light domestic duties including cleaning, and laundry
Safe manual handling
Assisting with mobility and positioning
To assist with meal preparation, and light domestic support.
Maintaining accurate documentation and shift notes
To undertake the tasks detailed in the participants’ Care Plan while delivering person-centered care with empathy, professionalism, and respect

Job Details:

Qualification Requirement: Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Community Services.
At least 2 years experience in disability support work
Hoisting and manual handling competency (essential)
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Skills : Leadership, Communication, Proactive
Expected Hours: 16-24hrs per week, with flexibility and additional hours as needed.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Full Driving Licence, Working with Children Check, NDIS Workers Screening, Police Check, First Aid and CPR
Work Authorization: Australia (Required)
