Reporting to the Head of Geology & Exploration, this role will lead the site based Exploration Team and will be responsible for delivering high standard, cost-effective exploration and drilling programs across the Pilgangoora Operational area and the Company's broader regional tenured in the Pilbara region.
This is a permanent full-time role which operates on a 8/6, 4/3 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.
- Lead the planning and delivery of RC and diamond drilling programs across Pilgangoora and regional exploration areas with a focus on Resources Development drilling programs.
- Supervise drilling activities, geological logging, sampling, QA/QC and geological data management to ensure high technical standards.
- Manage drilling contractors and field logistics to support safe, efficient and cost-effective program execution.
- Provide technical input into geological modelling, resource definition, exploration targeting and interpretation of geological datasets.
- Prepare drilling summaries, technical reports and regular program updates for internal stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor and support site-based exploration geologists and field assistants.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure exploration activities are completed in line with company standards and procedures.
- Build effective working relationships with contractors, logistics providers, Mine Geology and broader internal teams.
- Support collaboration across exploration and operations to ensure resources are well coordinated and programs are delivered effectively.
- 10+ years experience in mineral exploration
- Demonstrated experience supervising RC and diamond drilling programs
- Proven ability to lead and mentor field-based teams
- Qualified with a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Geology
- Schedule 26 Supervisor qualification
- SSE highly regarded
- WA “C” class manual drivers licence
- Membership with an accredited professional body, such as AusIMM or AIG
