About the Role
As our Subcontracts Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in keeping complex manufacturing and engineering projects on track by coordinating subcontractors and suppliers from start to finish.
Working closely with Procurement, Engineering, Production, Quality and Project teams, you will manage subcontract administration, monitor supplier performance, work with current suppliers in addition to sourcing new suppliers, oversee quality and compliance requirements, and ensure outsourced work is delivered on time, to specification and within commercial expectations.
This is a varied, fast-paced role suited to someone who thrives in a collaborative engineering environment and enjoys building strong supplier relationships, solving problems, and driving successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate suppliers to support the successful delivery of manufacturing and engineering projects.
Prepare and administer purchase orders, scopes of work, subcontract agreements and related documentation.
Monitor subcontractor performance, delivery schedules, and contractual commitments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with current and new suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Act as the primary point of contact for all subcontract-related activities across the business.
Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure subcontracted work meets project requirements.
Coordinate supplier onboarding and support estimating activities for new projects.
Ensure subcontracted work complies with quality, safety, regulatory, and customer requirements, including managing compliance documentation and supplier audits.
Identify and manage delivery, commercial, and supplier risks while supporting cost control and supplier performance improvements.
Maintain accurate subcontract records and contribute to continuous improvement of subcontract management processes and systems.
Skills and Experiences:
What You’ll Bring:
Experience in subcontract coordination and procurement within a manufacturing, engineering, defence or industrial environment.
Proven experience sourcing, onboarding and managing subcontractors and suppliers, including coordinating deliveries and logistics to meet project deadlines.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high level of accuracy.
Ability to interpret contracts, technical documentation, engineering drawings and quality requirements.
Experience working within a precision machining or advanced manufacturing environment, with proficiency in CAD/CAM, ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across suppliers and internal teams.
A qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or Engineering is advantageous, as is experience working in a quality-controlled or regulated environment.
