Community Living Options (CLO) is a leading NDIS registered disability service provider. We are a values-focused organisation, who put the people we support first. Established in 1982 by a group of local parents who wanted respite and accommodation for their children, we have expanded exponentially because our participants love our services.

What Makes This Role Unique?

Within our Forensic and Specialist Services team, you will receive comprehensive training, ongoing professional development, and strong team support to help you succeed in your role. This position offers the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of how disability can influence risk, behaviour, and social disadvantage. You will make a meaningful difference by supporting individuals with cognitive or psychosocial disabilities and forensic histories to achieve positive outcomes and enhance their quality of life.

We offer trauma-informed, evidence-based practices to support our participants reaching their NDIS goals. We develop and implement individualised therapeutic support models that recognise each person’s history, strengths, and support needs. Our focus safety and risk management as well as building capacity, promoting independence, and supporting successful reintegration into the community.

This role is ideal for individuals who are resilient, reflective, and emotionally intelligent. You will need to remain calm under pressure, think critically about complex situations, and respond with empathy and professionalism. A strong commitment to human rights, dignity, and person-centred practice is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver person-centred, trauma-informed support to individuals with complex psychosocial and forensic disability needs.
Assist with daily living skills and person centred support, promoting independence and choice and control.
Implement and contribute to individual therapeutic support plans and behavioural strategies.
Proactively manage risk, ensuring safety for participants, staff, and the community.
Maintain accurate, compliant documentation and contribute to ongoing assessment and review processes.
Engage in active support practices that enhance wellbeing, capacity building, and social inclusion.

About You:

Whether you bring experience in mental health, disability, or forensic support, or are new to the sector, your values and willingness to learn are what matter most. CLO will support your development through training, supervision, and, where needed, pathways to formal qualifications.

What You’ll Need to Thrive in This Role:

NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
Current Driver’s Licence
First Aid & CPR Certificates
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) or similar (or willing to obtain)
