We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager - Front Office to join our Front Office leadership team.

Your Day to Day

As an Assistant Manager - Front Office, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while leading the day-to-day operation of the Front Office department. Acting as the leader on shift, you will oversee hotel operations, support your colleagues, and ensure every guest interaction reflects the luxury service standards of InterContinental Hotels & Resorts®.

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will be a visible and hands-on leader who inspires your team to deliver personalised service while driving operational excellence, engagement, and performance.

In this role, you will:

Provide operational leadership across the Resort, ensuring seamless service delivery and adherence to IHG brand standards.
Lead, coach, and develop Front Office colleagues to deliver exceptional guest experiences at every touchpoint.
Oversee guest arrivals, departures, and daily Front Office operations, ensuring service expectations are consistently exceeded.
Act as the senior leader on duty, supporting the wider Resort operation and responding effectively to operational challenges.
Handle guest concerns and service recovery situations with empathy, professionalism, and a solutions-focused approach.
Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that supports engagement, recognition, and high performance.
Monitor guest feedback and identify opportunities to continuously improve the guest journey.
Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety requirements, emergency procedures, and security protocols.
Support labour management, payroll accuracy, and departmental productivity goals.
Drive departmental and Resort performance by supporting service excellence, guest satisfaction, and financial outcomes.
Build strong working relationships across all departments to ensure a seamless and consistent guest experience.
Attend leadership meetings, training programs, and development initiatives as required.
Uphold IHG brand standards, policies, and values in all aspects of your work.

What We Need From You

Ideally, you'll bring:

A minimum of three years' experience in a supervisory, Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar leadership role within an upscale hotel environment.
Proven experience leading teams and fostering a positive, guest-focused culture.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities and confidence in making decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
A passion for delivering personalised guest experiences and luxury service excellence.
Sound understanding of Front Office operations, hotel systems, and guest service standards.
Experience with Opera PMS or similar hotel management systems.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
A hands-on leadership style and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Tertiary qualifications in Hotel, Hospitality, or Business Management (advantageous).
Fluent English communication skills; additional languages will be highly regarded.
Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Full Australian working rights.
Unrestricted Driver's Licence
