Full Job Description

Casual Café Chef – 80/20 Café Gungahlin

We're looking for an experienced Café Chef to join our team at 80/20 Café Gungahlin.

If you enjoy working in a busy café, take pride in preparing quality food, and love being part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As part of our kitchen team, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking our café menu while helping keep the kitchen running smoothly. This is a full-time position with consistent hours, and weekend availability is essential.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes
Assisting with food preparation and general kitchen duties
Maintaining a clean, organised, and food-safe kitchen
Washing dishes and helping with cleaning when required
Supporting the front-of-house team during busy periods, including running food or taking orders when needed
Working closely with the team to ensure customers receive great food and service

What We're Looking For

At least 2 years of experience working in a café kitchen
Ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
Someone who is reliable, takes initiative, and is happy to help wherever needed
Must be available to work on weekends
