Merchandise Planner - Join the Johnny Bigg Crew!

At Johnny Bigg, we’re all about teamwork, customer focus, and delivering exceptional products. We are looking for an experienced Merchandise Planner to take our planning processes to the next level in a high-impact role.
Johnny Bigg is Australia and New Zealand’s leading menswear PLUS size retailers, with over 100 stores across Australia and New Zealand.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for a commercially driven and experienced Merchandise Planner to join our Sydney Support Office. This is an opportunity to own your category, influence key commercial decisions and play a critical role in driving sales, margin and inventory performance across our business.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Planning, you will lead core line card planning, select category planning, forecasting and stock investment decisions to deliver sales, margin and inventory targets. Partnering closely with Buying and Retail teams, you'll influence future ranges, identify growth opportunities and drive commercial performance across your category.

What You’ll Do:

Develop and manage category budgets, forecasts, replans and Open-to-Buy (OTB)
Drive sales, margin, stock turn and inventory productivity across stores and eCommerce
Analyse trade performance to identify risks, opportunities and emerging trends
Analyse and implement size curve data to increase sell through and stock productivity
Make informed stock investment decisions to maximise commercial outcomes
Partner closely with Buying to shape category strategies and future range plans
Manage core line plans and repeat orders on volume lines
Deliver clear, actionable insights that influence decision-making and support business growth
Advise and effect store allocations and ranging
Build new store stock plans
Support planning best practice and contribute to a high-performing team culture

About You:

Proven experience in retail merchandise planning (apparel highly regarded)
Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of retail metrics and KPIs
Advanced forecasting, OTB and inventory management capability
Highly analytical, with the ability to translate data into insights
Confident communicator who can influence cross-functional teams
Operates with a team-first, no-ego mindset and thrives in a collaborative environment
