Paragon Steel Fabrication Pty Ltd has been recognised in the construction industry as being a commercially competitive, service dependable and quality supplier and installer of fabricated structural steel.

Paragon Steel Fabrication Pty Ltd is seeking a suitably qualified Technical Sales Officer to drive sales of its core services of Fabrication of structural steel, stainless steel and aluminium for major industry sector.

The role of a Technical Sales Officer at Paragon Steel Fabrication Pty Ltd is crucial in bridging the gap between technical expertise and sales proficiency. This position significantly contributes to the company’s success by effectively communicating the technical aspects of services of Paragon Steel Fabrication potential clients including tenders, thereby driving sales and revenue growth.

This role of Technical Sales Officer involves the following duties:

1. Involved in meticulously planning, scheduling, and executing projects to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

2. Assess technical drawings and specifications associated with stakeholders’ projects, and assist with the tenders and quotations for both long and short-term supply contracts

3. Demonstrate the sound skills of technical specifications in the construction projects by clearly understanding the project requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and facilitating accurate bidding.

4. Assist in production and understanding of detailed workshop drawings, complete with parts and assembly drawings including 3D modelling.

5.Perform design reviews including buildability assessments. Identify design conflicts by reviewing and producing detailed shop drawings and 3D models.

6. Present design innovation opportunities and providing feedback relating to “safety in design” all of which lead to increased cost effective and time efficient outcomes.

7. Negotiate and implement contracts with relevant stakeholders.

8. Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements, providing demonstrations, and offering technical support throughout the sales process.

9. Explore the latest Australia Fabrication Tenders and gain access to real-time government bids, eProcurement updates, and detailed information on government contracts in Australia.

10. Stay informed about the newest RFP, RFQ, and notices for both public and private Fabrication procurement tenders in Australia.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Civil engineering, business or any other related qualifications

2. Proficiency in technical tools, software, and platforms relevant to the industry such as CRM systems, CAD software, or IoT solutions.

3. At least 3 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in handling similar projects or clients in related industries, showcasing adaptability and industry expertise.

4. Exceptional communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills are essential for effective customer engagement and team collaboration.

5. A self-motivated and results-driven work ethic with the ability to work autonomously across a defined territory.

6. In-depth understanding of industry regulations, technical standards, and market trends to provide informed solutions to customers.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $84,000.00 per year
