We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Account Manager to manage and grow a defined portfolio of Business Plus customers. This role is critical to maintaining strong customer relationships that drive revenue growth, customer advocacy and long-term business success for both our customers and Telstra.

Focus of the role

As an Account Manager, you will be the trusted advisor for a portfolio of Business Plus customers, helping them achieve their goals through telecommunications, ICT and cyber security solutions. By combining exceptional communication, strong commercial capability and a passion for customer success, you will deliver outstanding customer experiences, drive sustainable portfolio growth and contribute to the continued success of the Telstra Business Technology Centre.

About the role

Customer Satisfaction & Customer SuccessDevelop trusted relationships with business owners and decision-makers.
Gain a deep understanding of each customer’s business, objectives and challenges.
Conduct proactive account reviews and customer engagement activities.
Deliver exceptional customer experiences that drive satisfaction, loyalty and advocacy.
Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, service requests and escalations.
Partner with customers to help them make informed technology decisions.
Collaborate with technical specialists, project delivery teams and support functions to deliver seamless outcomes.
Sales & Portfolio GrowthManage and grow a portfolio of Business Plus customers.
Identify opportunities across telecommunications, mobility, internet, networking, cloud, collaboration, managed services and cyber security solutions.
Conduct business needs analysis to uncover customer challenges and priorities.
Develop and maintain account plans that support customer retention and growth.
Generate, qualify and progress opportunities through the full sales lifecycle.
Meet individual sales, revenue and performance targets.
Operational ExcellenceMaintain accurate customer records, account plans and pipeline management activities.
Ensure customer interactions and opportunities are documented accurately.
Deliver high-quality portfolio management and customer governance.
Meet customer contact and activity expectations.
Contribute positively to team objectives, culture and performance outcomes.

About you

Minimum 3 years' experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) sales, account management or business development.
Proven experience managing customer relationships and achieving sales targets.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organisational, planning and time management capability.
Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with customers and stakeholders.
Strong commercial acumen and customer-focused mindset.
