About the role

As Category Manager, you’ll lead a diverse portfolio of seasonal Events throughout the year, shaping and delivering exciting non-food ranges that respond to customer trends and key seasonal moments. You’ll play an important role in ensuring we have the right products, at the right time, to deliver great customer and commercial outcomes.

Using your strategic and commercial expertise, you’ll identify growth opportunities across the category, develop strong supplier partnerships, and collaborate with key stakeholders to create differentiated ranges that strengthen our market position and drive sales performance.

You'll also:

Drive results and performance of your categories
Work cross-functionally across Marketing, Operations, Transformation and Strategy
Execute our customer-centric strategy for your categories to shape a legacy for the future
Drive innovation within the category, working closely with the broader Coles Merchandise team
Build strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, using your negotiation and influencing skills to drive the direction of the category

About you and your skills

In this role you will be able to utilise your experience in understanding market share gaps and helping to develop and implement a market leading plan across this portfolio. Well-developed stakeholder management skills will be key to the success of this role

You will also have:

Demonstrated Category Management and/or Merchandise experience
Outstanding influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Strategic thinking with the ability to operate in a dynamic, customer-driven retail environment
Proven ability to champion and drive change and continuous improvement
Strong commercial acumen
Customer first approach
