Through the Liquorland banner, our Coles Liquor team work to bring the drinks our customers want, when and how they want them. With a network of more than 900 stores and ultra-convenient online sites, the team deliver on our commitment to provide accessible drink solutions for every occasion.
As Sourcing Manager - Spirits, you will be instrumental in executing our Exclusive Brands strategy and delivering strong commercial outcomes. You'll be a key contributor to the expansion and evolution of our Exclusive Liquor Brands portfolio, helping bring innovative and compelling products to market.
Leading sourcing projects across the spirits category, you will identify growth opportunities, negotiate with suppliers and manage product development to ensure all offerings deliver against quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction benchmarks.
You’ll also:

Work with Category Managers to identify gaps in the spirits portfolio, emerging product areas, size of prize/opportunity & feasibility of product

Partner with the Category team to drive sales and profit performance ahead of budget and in line with forecasts

End to end project management of all new product development from concept to execution

Work collaboratively with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify new opportunities or opportunities to improve efficiencies

Monitor & review execution of pricing, promotional management & distribution across banners in collaboration with Category Teams and Trade Planning

Liaise with category and supply chain teams to ensure optimum levels of stock

Demonstrate understanding of consumer buying behaviour
About you and your skills
You will leverage your strong commercial acumen, passion for spirits and broad understanding of the alcohol market to source products that align with our brand strategy and support the objectives of our category teams.
You’ll also have:

Demonstrated buying, category management or sourcing experience within the Liquor retail environment

Passion for the product holding WSET 2 or 3 in Spirits
-
NPD and innovation background.

Outstanding influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills

Sound knowledge of end-to-end supply chain
