Apprentice Technician

Mercedes-Benz Macgregor | Autosports Group

Autosports Group is looking for a 1st year Apprentice Technician to join our team at Mercedes-Benz Macgregor. Position Scope

Assist qualified technicians with scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repairs on Mercedes-Benz vehicles under supervision, performing tasks within your current competency level

Learn to use workshop tools, equipment, and Mercedes-Benz diagnostic systems progressively as your skills develop

Complete vehicle inspection reports accurately and thoroughly under the guidance of your supervising technician

Photograph all significant findings and existing vehicle damage, recording them in Triage and on the repair order as directed

Maintain your workshop bay in a clean, safe, and organised condition at all times

Complete all on-the-job and off-the-job training requirements for your Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology

Actively engage with every learning opportunity — ask questions, pay attention, and take ownership of your own progress

Represent Autosports Group values of integrity, quality, and teamwork

Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Experience

A genuine passion for cars and a desire to build a long-term career in the automotive industry

Currently eligible to commence a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology

A hardworking, curious, and coachable attitude — we will teach you everything else

Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from experienced technicians

Strong work ethic, reliability, and a professional approach from day one

Valid driver’s licence (or working towards one)

No prior experience required — just the right attitude and a commitment to your trade
