Chef – The Butler’s Pantry

The Butler’s Pantry is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef to join our kitchen team.

We are a busy café and restaurant focused on delivering quality food, consistent presentation and excellent hospitality. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work and contributes positively to the wider team.

About the Role

As a Chef at The Butler’s Pantry, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and cooking dishes during busy breakfast, lunch and dinner services
Maintaining consistent food quality, portioning and presentation
Completing food preparation and mise en place
Following recipes and kitchen procedures
Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
Assisting with stock rotation, storage and minimising food waste
Working collaboratively with chefs, kitchen hands and front-of-house staff
Maintaining an organised and efficient workstation
Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
Following workplace health and safety requirements

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience working as a Chef in a café, restaurant or similar hospitality environment
Is confident working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
Has experience with breakfast and lunch service
Produces consistent, well-presented food
Has strong organisational and time-management skills
Understands food safety and hygiene requirements
Communicates well and works effectively as part of a team
Is reliable, punctual and professional
Has a positive attitude and takes pride in their work
Is available to work a flexible roster, including weekends as required
Relevant cookery qualifications are desirable; however, applicants with strong practical experience are also encouraged to apply.
