Your opportunity:

As a Guidance Officer, you will focus on providing assessment and diagnostic services to support the diverse learning needs of our students. This role places a strong emphasis on going beyond standard practice testing to deliver innovative and tailored solutions that empower students to achieve their full potential.

Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting cognitive, psychoeducational and diagnostic assessments to identify and address barriers to learning.
Interpreting assessment data to develop evidence-based recommendations for individualised learning plans and targeted interventions.
Collaborating with teachers, support staff and families to implement strategies that enhance student learning outcomes.
Supporting students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, ensuring culturally responsive and inclusive practices.
Providing guidance on curriculum adjustments, differentiated instruction and strategies to support students with diverse abilities and needs.
Managing complex cases with a focus on assessment and intervention, while working closely with external specialists and agencies when required.
Contributing to the development of whole-school practices that promote student well-being and academic success.

Preference will be given to candidates who have expertise in conducting and interpreting cognitive and psychoeducational assessments, including beyond standard practice testing.

A strong understanding of inclusive education and the ability to support students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Demonstrated experience in working with complex cases and providing innovative, evidence-based solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and staff.
A commitment to fostering a positive, forward-thinking and inclusive school environment.
