About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Automotive Mechanic / Trade Assistant to join our workshop team. In this role, you will perform routine servicing, diagnostic troubleshooting, and general mechanical repairs on a wide range of light vehicles. You will work alongside experienced technicians in a fast-paced environment that values quality workmanship and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform scheduled logbook servicing and maintenance on light vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
Conduct brake, suspension, and steering repairs.
Assist senior technicians with complex diagnostic procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
Complete physical job cards accurately.

Skills and Experience

Qualification: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification) is mandatory.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience working in a professional workshop environment.
Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with modern scan tools.
Current, valid manual driver's license.
Punctual, self-motivated, and able to work productively within a team.
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety (WHS) practices.
