About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Automotive Mechanic / Trade Assistant to join our workshop team. In this role, you will perform routine servicing, diagnostic troubleshooting, and general mechanical repairs on a wide range of light vehicles. You will work alongside experienced technicians in a fast-paced environment that values quality workmanship and safety.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled logbook servicing and maintenance on light vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
- Conduct brake, suspension, and steering repairs.
- Assist senior technicians with complex diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
- Complete physical job cards accurately.
Skills and Experience
- Qualification: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience working in a professional workshop environment.
- Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency with modern scan tools.
- Current, valid manual driver's license.
- Punctual, self-motivated, and able to work productively within a team.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety (WHS) practices.
