Full Job Description

Drive operational success in rail logistics from our Pinkenba site!

Join Cement Australia as a Rail Planner and play a pivotal role in our national supply chain. Based at our Pinkenba site, you'll coordinate rail logistics across multiple states, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of our products. This Monday to Friday, office-hours position offers the chance to work closely with internal teams and external partners, managing everything from scheduling and stock levels to maintenance planning and reporting. Your Opportunity

In this role you will:

Plan & ensure delivery-loading schedule is filled across Australia for ISO and fixed rail equipment. Monitor PN Bookings to minimise no show/cancellation costs. Liaise with Road scheduling on road delivery and monitor and manage availability including empty ISO return movements.
Maintain accurate load transaction data to assist with reconciling PN and rail billing.
Plan and communicate rail delivery schedule and issue exception reports to the internal and external stakeholders.
Disruption Planning – Develop and implement contingency plans for planned and unplanned track closures
Develop and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders including rail providers, internal, external road transport, and commercial team. Ensure strict contract guidelines are met.
Plan and monitor all operational requirements for ISO and fixed rail equipment.
Assist in maintaining and managing daily maintenance schedules. This includes regulatory inspections.
Assist in maintaining and managing SAP and DMS master data files for Rail assets.
Provide and maintain accurate daily reporting systems to Management and Customers internal and external.
Support the broader Terminals & Rail organisation in the strategic operations to ensure operational and commercial outcomes are met or bettered.
Monitor Railhead and Terminal Stocks
Manage POs relating to rail.
Daily Export and Fly Ash reporting.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing or logistics.
Strong proficiency in SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Pacific National Portal, Linfox Scheduling platform and Power BI will be highly advantageous but not essential.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Completion of secondary education.
