Golding currently seeks an experienced long term Maintenance Planner (Excavator) to be based on site at Curragh Mine, located near Blackwater.
The Role
Under the guidance of the Maintenance Superintendent, the chosen applicant will assume the role of establishing maintenance plans, supporting on-site planning processes, coordinating schedules, and procuring necessary resources. The primary focus will be on executing these plans to meet stringent quality and compliance standards. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a passionate and driven individual with substantial planning experience within a site-based setting.
This role will operate on a 7-7 dayshift only roster, with accommodation & meals provided at camp in Blackwater.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create precise maintenance plans, budgets, and forecasts that align with our maintenance planning procedures;
- Guarantee timely procurement and availability of all necessary parts, subcontractors, and external services;
- Actively promote continuous improvement to improve safety, improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs;
- Support Maintenance Supervisors in daily task allocation;
- Produce maintenance history, data and information and work with the Technical Support to analyse downtime events and equipment reliability;
- Generate periodic reports evaluating the efficiency and efficacy of executed planned tasks;
- Monitor, analyse and maintain the integrity of the SAP maintenance data and other Golding systems information;
- Recognize potential avenues for establishing new supplier partnerships by consolidating significant expenditure categories for major components and
- Develop and compile master equipment data for equipment life and replacement analysis recommendations and SAP / enterprise asset management purposes.

To be considered for this role, you will bring the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- A relevant trade background is essential;
- Proven on-site experience in a similar planning role, preferably with proficiency in SAP;
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project, along with other applications in the Microsoft Office suite;
- Sound knowledge and understanding of life cycle costing and budgeting principles and
- Hands-on experience in the maintenance planning of large hydraulic excavators.
