Are you a talented Radiographer/ Sonographer looking to make a significant impact within regional communities?

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Radiographer/ Sonographer to join us at Tumut Health Service to provide a high-quality medical imaging service to MLHD patients to support the provision of optimal patient health outcomes.

Positions on Offer (desired hours can be further discussed at Interview):

7 hours – Permanent Part Time
14 hours – Temporary Part Time (From: 10-Aug-26 Until: 21-Feb-2
10.5 hours – Temporary Part Time (Until: 30-Jun-2

As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for:

Performing a wide range of medical imaging and sonographic examinations, including obstetrics, gynaecology, vascular, MSK, paediatrics and interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout
Providing and managing a safe environment for all patients, staff and the public, including participation in the 24/7 roster and on-call arrangements to provide after-hours cover where required
Prioritising and managing workload effectively across competing demands for both inpatients and outpatients to ensure timely and appropriate care delivery
Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient details and examination information in line with RIS/PACS business rules and reporting requirements
Supporting the training, supervision and assessment of undergraduate and new graduate sonographers while collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team, external referrers and reporting radiologists

Our ideal candidate will:

Hold current ASAR accreditation, NSW EPA and current AHPRA to practise as a Medical Radiation Practitioner
Demonstrate post graduate experience in Diagnostic Medical Imaging including Radiography and Sonography
Communicate confidently and effectively with patients, carers, referrers and multidisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality patient-centred care
Manage competing priorities with a calm and organised approach, balancing inpatient and outpatient demands without compromising on quality or safety
Hold a current NSW Class C Driver's Licence and is willing to travel to peripheral hospitals and participate in on-call and after-hours rosters as required
