About Us

Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

The Supreme Court of Victoria is the highest court in Victoria and comprises the Court of Appeal and the Trial Division. The Court deals with major criminal and civil matters, plus appeals against decisions of lower courts.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide exceptional executive and administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer. This is a unique opportunity to work at Victoria's highest court, supporting the CEO to deliver strategic and operational priorities across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

Delivering high-level executive support, including complex diary, inbox and correspondence management.
Anticipating the CEO's needs by proactively identifying priorities, managing emerging issues and ensuring the smooth flow of information.
Exercising sound judgement to triage requests, competing demands and sensitive matters, determining appropriate actions and escalating issues where required.
Coordinating meetings and events, including preparing agendas, briefing materials, presentations, minutes and follow-up actions.
Managing highly sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, discretion and integrity.
Acting as a key liaison between the CEO, the judiciary, the leadership team, Court staff and external stakeholders.
Providing proactive ad hoc project support for strategic initiatives, business improvement activities and other organisational priorities as required.

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate an ability to consistently exercise sound judgement, think ahead, identify solutions and confidently manage competing priorities. You are able to anticipate issues before they arise, triage requests effectively, and create conditions that enable the CEO to focus on the matters of greatest importance.

This is a pivotal role that requires a mature outlook, initiative and exceptional organisational skills. Your ability to apply high level discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information is essential. You will play an integral part in ensuring the CEO is well supported to lead the organisation effectively.
