Primary objective
Coordinate the development, review and delivery of education and training materials and programs that increase sector knowledge
of therapeutic pathways for people seeking alcohol and other drug (AOD) support, and strengthening workforce capability in
prevention, de-escalation and safe response to occupational violence and aggression (OVA) and other related harms across the
Northern Territory.

Context statement
CLEaRS provide leadership in workforce education, training, and capability development to support safe, high-quality health care
delivery across NT Health. This role sits within a dynamic environment characterised by geographically dispersed services, diverse
clinical contexts, and a strong focus on culturally responsive and practical workforce education. The position requires coordination
of large-scale education initiatives across multiple service settings, with engagement of internal and external subject matter experts,
and alignment with contemporary adult learning principles and digital learning platforms

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Deliver and co-ordinate in-person and online training for diverse audiences to increase knowledge of therapeutic pathways,

referral options and models of care for people seeking AOD support, and to strengthen understanding of occupational violence,
and aggression (OVA) and other related harm prevention and response.

2. Actively contribute innovative ideas and solutions to create effective, accessible and appropriate educational and awareness
materials, and modify training packages so they are fit for purpose for external groups, in a variety of media.

3. Coordinate the development, implementation and evaluation of education and training programs related to therapeutic
pathways for people seeking AOD support, as well as OVA and other related harm prevention and response.

4. Lead the review and continuous improvement of learning materials to ensure they are evidence-informed, culturally appropriate
and aligned with NT Health priorities.

5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts to co-design and deliver effective education
programs.

6. Apply adult learning principles and utilise learning management systems to support accessible, engaging and measurable
learning outcomes.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. Experience in developing and delivering effective education and/or training to diverse groups.
2. Experience coordinating large-scale training initiatives or projects and managing competing priorities in a complex environment.
3. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to establish and sustain

productive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
4. Experience in the use of learning management systems and digital learning platforms.
5. Ability to work independently under limited direction while contributing positively to a team environment.

Desirable
1. Qualifications in education, training, health, or a related discipline.
2. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
3. Experience in alcohol and other drug service delivery, therapeutic pathways, care coordination, occupational violence and

aggression, or related health service contexts.
