Full Job Description

Join our growing multidisciplinary team to help shape our service delivery for PBS.

Sydney NSW - Remote team - Career progression - Experienced leadership team - Competitive salary negotiable for the right candidate

The Clinical Practice Lead is a senior leadership role responsible for the clinical and operational performance of the Behaviour Support Practice team. This role sits between the Managing Partner and the clinical team, providing day to day leadership, accountability and oversight that enables the Managing Partner to operate at a strategic level.

This role is critical to building and sustaining a culture of accountability, professional standards and high performance as the practice scales toward 15–20 team members. The Clinical Practice Lead is the primary point of escalation for the Behaviour Support Team and the primary point of accountability to the Managing Partner for team performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership & Accountability

Provide day to day leadership and oversight of the BSP clinical team
Drive a culture of accountability, professionalism and high performance
Ensure all team members are working their contracted hours and meeting expectations
Monitor and manage team calendar compliance, billable entry and administrative requirements
Identify and address performance issues early, escalating to the Managing Partner where required
Conduct regular 1:1s with direct reports to provide feedback, support and performance oversight
Manage onboarding of new practitioners as the team grows

Clinical Oversight

Maintain a clinical caseload of 15 billable hours per week – this will be reviewed as the team grows
Provide clinical leadership and direction to the team on complex cases
Oversee the quality and standard of behaviour support assessments, plans and reports across the team
Work collaboratively with the team on clinical supervision and quality processes
Ensure team practice remains compliant with NDIS Practice Standards and the Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework

Operational Management

Own the day to day operational rhythm of the BSP team — scheduling, capacity, workload distribution
Ensure team calendars reflect reality at all times and are updated in advance
Monitor billable output across the team and identify and address gaps proactively
Escalate operational risks and resourcing issues to the Managing Partner in a timely manner
Contribute to practice planning, growth strategy and team structure in collaboration with the Managing Partner

Compliance & Quality

Ensure the team meets all NDIS registration and compliance requirements
Work with the Managing Partner on audit preparation and ongoing compliance obligations
Oversee file audit outcomes and drive remediation where required
Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and communicate implications to the team

Culture & Development

Model the professional standards and behaviours expected of all team members
Create a team environment where practitioners feel supported and held to account equally
Identify development needs across the team and work with the team to address them
Support retention of practitioners through strong day to day leadership and consistent feedback

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Behaviour Analysis, Social Work, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy or related discipline
Registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body where applicable
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Demonstrated experience delivering behaviour support services under the NDIS
Proven experience leading and managing a clinical team
Strong understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework
High level of comfort with accountability, performance management and operational oversight
Valid driver's licence
