About Us Hybrid Physiotherapy is a growing private practice with two convenient Sydney locations — Chatswood and York St in the CBD. We treat a diverse caseload across MSK, sports injuries, post-surgical rehab, chronic pain, and workplace injuries. Our client base includes private, HICAPS, NDIS, DVA, and workers' compensation referrals. The Opportunity We're looking for a motivated Remedial Massage Therapist (Subcontractor) to join our team on a flexible, ABN-based arrangement. This is ideal for an experienced therapist who wants autonomy over their caseload and schedule, with the support of an established clinic, steady client flow, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team alongside our physiotherapists.
Job Duties
- Conduct thorough subjective and postural/musculoskeletal assessments for new and returning clients
- Develop and deliver individualised remedial massage treatment plans across MSK, sports, post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, and stress-related presentations
- Provide a range of evidence-informed techniques including remedial massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and sports/recovery massage
- Prescribe simple home-care advice, stretches, and self-management strategies
- Manage your own caseload across private/HICAPS, NDIS, DVA, and workers' compensation clients
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in our practice management system
- Communicate effectively with referring GPs, physiotherapists, case managers, and insurers (reports, progress updates) where required
- Collaborate with our physiotherapy team on shared cases and integrated treatment plans
- Participate in case discussions and in-house professional development sessions
- Maintain professional standards in line with your association's code of conduct and clinic policies
- Contribute to a positive, client-centred clinic culture
Requirements
- Diploma of Remedial Massage (HLT52015) or higher qualification
- Current membership with a recognised association (AAMT, MMA, ATMS, or equivalent) eligible for private health fund rebates
- HICAPS-registered provider number (or willingness to obtain)
- Active ABN (subcontractor arrangement)
- Professional Indemnity & Public Liability insurance
- Senior First Aid / CPR certification (current)
- Minimum 1+ year clinical experience preferred (new graduates with strong clinical placement experience also welcome to apply)
- Confidence managing a private remedial caseload independently
- Strong communication skills in English
- Working with Children Check (NSW) and National Police Check
- DVA provider number — or willingness to obtain
- Right to work in Australia
Nice to Have
- Experience with NDIS, workers' compensation (icare), or CTP claims
- Additional training in dry needling, cupping, sports massage, pregnancy massage, lymphatic drainage, or oncology massage
- Experience working alongside physiotherapists or in a multidisciplinary clinic setting
