Are you a fun and enthusiastic maths teacher who can confidently teach up to Grade 9? We’re looking for someone who can make learning enjoyable while building strong relationships with students. If you love helping students grow their confidence in maths, we’d love to hear from you!

Programs are individually tailored to the needs of each student, offering remediation, consolidation and extension learning in numeracy and literacy from kindergarten through to college.

JOB TITLE: Math Tutor

CENTRE LOCATION: 20 Forrest Road, Armadale
What you will be doing:

Tutoring math to a group of 3 to 4 students per session
Teaching students using the Kip McGrath methodology
Tutoring students in a positive, caring manner to promote self esteem and self worth

-Use our state of the art software to plan and conduct lessons - saving you on prep time!

Use your strong rapport building skills to develop and maintain a positive relationship with students and parents.
Keeping an accurate record online of your students progress and goals on a weekly basis
Provide verbal and written feedback to parents.
Work up to 3 sessions a day.

Your requirements:

Tertiary Qualification in Teaching or Education (or similar)
A current Working with Children Check
A friendly, professional and personable manner
Demonstrate a positive, vibrant personality
Confidence using software and computers
Genuine love for learning and teaching
Reliable, high attention to detail and strong organisational skills

- 60 minute sessions - small groups - after school hours
- Be paid above award rates as a casual teacher - $52.50 per hour / $70 per lesson

- Stable hours- teach the same classes at the same times each week.

Hours of work:

We teach students after school on weekdays and Saturday morning.

Monday - Thursday
Lesson 1- 3:45pm to 4:45pm
Lesson 2- 4:55pm to 5:55pm

Saturday
Lesson 1- 8:30am to 9:30am
Lesson 2- 9:40am to 10:40am

The ideal candidate will be available at least two days per week.
