Job Description

Take ownership of month-end close for the Qantas Airlines segment
Work with your Finance Business Partners to build annual budgets, refresh monthly forecasts and prepare other related reporting for the Qantas Airlines segment
Fixed-term contract until April 2027 based at Qantas Corporate Campus in Mascot

The FP&A team is responsible for ensuring financial processes and reporting are standardised, controlled and efficiently executed across Qantas Airlines segment. As a centralised FP&A function, we partner closely with both finance and operational stakeholders to enable informed, data-driven decision-making.

As a Senior Financial Analyst within the FP&A team, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality financial insights and reporting. Your responsibilities will span month-end close, forecasting and performance analysis, with a strong emphasis on consolidating inputs from multiple business units and producing clear, actionable commentary for senior stakeholders.

You’ll have –

Professional accounting qualifications (CA/CPA qualified)
Experience in a financial accounting role, with 5+ years’ experience
Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
Strong attention to detail, working with large volumes of often complex data
Motivated self-starter with questioning mind/ analytical skills
Able to provide value-add analysis and advice
Able to work under time pressure and reprioritise when required
High level of accountability and resilience
