As our Maintenance Officer at Hillsview Village in Happy Valley, you'll play a vital role in maintaining village buildings, shared spaces and grounds. From general repairs to light grounds maintenance, your work will directly contribute to creating an environment where residents feel proud to call home.

The role
This is a hands-on role with a majority focus on maintenance and a varied role involving grounds care, making it ideal for someone who enjoys practical repairs while helping maintain attractive outdoor spaces.
Your impact
- Complete general maintenance and minor repairs across village buildings and shared facilities
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, ensuring a safe environment for residents
- Maintain the presentation of outdoor areas, pathways and communal spaces
- Carry out light gardening, including pruning, planting, mulching and general garden upkeep
- Operate and maintain equipment safely and efficiently
- Build positive relationships with residents, contractors and the wider village team

You'll bring:
- Experience in maintenance, handyman, facilities or property maintenance roles
- Practical skills across general repairs and preventative maintenance
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent time management
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
- Basic computer literacy
Experience in retirement living, schools, councils or large community environments will be highly regarded.
A trade qualification, gardening qualification or experience driving a 12-seater bus would also be advantageous.
