Are you an experienced and strategic accounting professional looking for your next career move? C&W Financial Services is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team, offering flexible working conditions in our Moree, Narrabri, and Wee Waa offices. As part of our expert team, you will work closely with a diverse range of clients, providing high-level business advisory, tax planning, and financial solutions. At C&W, we go beyond the numbers—we focus on strategy, growth, and long-term financial success for our clients across agriculture, manufacturing, and small business industries. With over 100 years of expertise, we remain committed to delivering exceptional service and building strong client relationships.

Your Responsibilities

Strategic Client Advisory:Work closely with clients, providing expert tax and business advisory services.
Financial Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns, and business activity statements (BAS) across various industries.
Cloud-Based Accounting Solutions: Utilise leading cloud-based platforms for streamlined and efficient client service.
Accounting Software Expertise: Work with a range of accounting systems, including Xero, MYOB, Phoenix, Reckon, and QuickBooks.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Support junior accountants by providing mentoring and technical guidance.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 4 years of experience in an accounting role, with exposure to business advisory and taxation.
Strong technical expertise in accounting standards, financial reporting, and compliance.
CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion.
Ability to manage a portfolio of clients, providing high-level financial solutions.
Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
A proactive, hands-on problem solver with a keen eye for detail.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Xero, QuickBooks Online, Reckon, MYOB, and Xero Practice Manager & FYI Docs (or willingness to learn).
Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents (including New Zealand Citizens).
