About the Role
Reporting to the Marketing Manager AEO, this role will support BOQ Group’s growth and retention objectives across digital channels, with a particular focus on SEO, Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) and the evolving agentic search landscape.
As part of the Performance Marketing team, you will drive organic search strategy and execution across BOQ Group brands, helping to improve visibility across search engines, AI-powered search experiences and large language models (LLMs). Working closely with Marketing, Digital, Product and external agency partners, you will identify opportunities to enhance website performance, optimise content, improve technical foundations and deliver measurable business outcomes.
You will leverage SEO and analytics tools to uncover insights, conduct keyword and competitor research, and develop optimisation strategies that support both acquisition and retention goals. The role also involves partnering with content, creative and web teams to ensure SEO and AEO best practices are embedded throughout the customer journey. In addition, you will contribute to broader performance marketing initiatives, support reporting and test-and-learn activities, and assist in shaping the wider Growth and Digital Marketing strategy.
About You
You are a digitally savvy marketer with a strong foundation in SEO and a genuine passion for the future of search. Curious by nature, you stay ahead of industry trends and enjoy exploring how emerging technologies, AI-powered search experiences and agentic search can create new opportunities for growth.
You have experience developing and implementing SEO strategies that deliver tangible results and are confident using tools such as SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. You understand how content, technical optimisation and user experience work together to improve organic performance, and you can translate data and insights into meaningful actions.
You are a collaborative stakeholder manager who enjoys working across multiple teams and building strong relationships with agency partners. Exposure to paid search, paid social and programmatic advertising is advantageous, along with experience working in Agile environments and using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Most importantly, you are proactive, analytical and solutions-focused, with a strong desire to test, learn and continuously optimise. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, are comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and are equally happy supporting reporting, administration and operational activities that contribute to overall marketing success.
