Full Job Description

iCARE Youth and Community Services Pty Ltd is a dedicated NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) registered provider, and a provider of residential placements for the Department of Children and Families in the Northern Territory (NT). Our core mission is to provide essential care and support services to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their well-being, independence, and inclusion in the community. Our service offerings encompass a wide range of NDIS-approved supports, including accommodation, therapy, and community access programs, tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual we serve.

Due to increased demand for our services, we have multiple positions available for this role in Tennant Creek and the surrounding areas of Central Australia, NT.

Position Description

Monitor creditor and debtor accounts, undertake related routine documentation, and calculate and investigate the cost of wages, materials, overheads and other operating costs.

Duties:

Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
Manage high-volume SCHADS Award payroll processing, including remote area allowances, sleepover shifts, broken shifts, overtime, and complex rostering reconciliations across 24/7 residential programs.
Prepare bank deposits and statements, and post entries to general ledgers
Process NDIS and Territory Families funding claims using participant-based billing systems, ensuring compliance with NDIA and child protection funding requirements.
Reconcile accounts
Summarise financial transactions, including expenditure and receipts
Coordinating financial administration across remote Northern Territory operations, including Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, and outreach locations with limited-service access.
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies
Respond to internal and external account queries
Maintaining confidential participant, workforce, and incident-related financial records in line with NDIS Practice Standards and child safeguarding compliance obligations.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible, the ideal candidate must have/be willing to obtain the following:

Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate II and one year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) work experience or

Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III with relevant post qualification work experience of at least one year (minimum 20 hours plus per week) or

Have at least one year of relevant full-time (or part-time equivalent) work experience

Current National Police Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check
First Aid Certificate
Availability to work across a 24/7 Roster to meet operational needs
NT Driver's Licence
