Full Job Description

Balgownie Estate are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and produce a range of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads and other baked goods.
Ensure all products are prepared consistently to established recipes and presentation standards.
Assist in the development and testing of new desserts and seasonal menu items.
Produce desserts for restaurant service, functions, weddings and events.
Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, taste and presentation.
Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic Kitchen.
Comply with all Food Safety Standards and workplace health and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

You’ve mastered the basics — minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
Experience in the pastry section will be highly regarded.
You’re calm under pressure and can handle a fast-paced kitchen without losing your smile.
You’re a team player and clear communicator.
You have your own reliable transport to get to our stunning Yarra Valley location.
You have full Australian working rights and can work weekends.
