Role Summary/Purpose:
We are seeking an ardent self-starter with a strong appetite to learn and grow in one of the world's leading Pet Nutrition businesses. Home of the #1 Vet recommended Pet Nutrition brand in Australia, Hill’s Pet Nutrition combines nearly 100 years of science to deliver optimal nutrition to millions of Pets worldwide every year. You will be sitting within our high-growth Customer Development Team, helping steer the strategy on a pivotal account & working with multiple internal & external stakeholders. You won't just be executing a playbook; you will be taking real ownership, learning P&L management, mastering omni-demand generation and bringing new ideas to life with creative & commercially sound thinking. You will work closely with the Customer Development Manager to collaboratively grow Your account, establishing, executing and measuring joint KPIs to help spread more Hill’s food into bowls around Australia.
This position requires a commercially savvy enthusiast who brings data curiosity, an entrepreneurial mindset, strong relationship building & genuine interest in growing everyday.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan Excellence: Act as the team’s operational anchor, managing the execution of the promotional and operational plans across all Petbarn digital platforms and physical storefronts.
Team-Based Forecasting: Work alongside the CDM, the customer, and our supply chain team to contribute to an accurate, cross-functional demand forecast within ATLAS, ensuring our products are always in stock and available online and on-shelf.
Omnichannel Execution Support: Work across internal and external teams to drive best-in-class execution. Help sync online visibility (search, content optimization) with brick-and-mortar mechanics (displays, campaigns, and new product introductions) so the brand wins seamlessly across the entire Petbarn ecosystem.
Frontline Field Partnership: Partner with our field sales teams by translating corporate Petbarn agreements into high-impact, actionable activation toolkits—inspiring flawless 6P execution, stock pressure, and brand consistency on the ground.
Shared Relationship Engagement: Support the CDM in actively engaging with customer contacts at Petbarn, helping to build strong, long-term relationships and ensuring our joint growth initiatives are perfectly aligned with customer objectives.
Team Insights & Data Curiosity: Bring a highly analytical, curious approach to portal scan data, digital trends, Tableau, and Profitero. Look beyond standard reporting to provide the account team with actionable insights on shopper behavior, while assisting the CDM with Profit & Loss (P&L) data analysis to help optimize overall performance.
Commercial Support & Ownership: Take ownership of vital commercial moving pieces, including managing promotional submissions, navigating trade spend accruals, utilizing ROI margin calculators, and executing inventory clearance strategies for obsolete or short-dated stock.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
2+ years sales or category experience in Pet Speciality, Grocery, Pharmacy or Independent Retail channels
Intermediate G-Suite or Excel Skills & confidence presenting data beyond descriptional analysis
Pet industry background highly regarded
