Full Job Description

Currently looking for a group fitness instructor to cover Active & Healthy Parks activities held in Kuraby, Runcorn, Inala, Indooroopilly and West End as a sub-contractor. The majority of the sessions involve:

leading adults 60 and over in weighted mobility classes, strength training, flexibility and balance training, resistance resistance
working outdoors in parks (except for Inala, which is indoors)
designing your own class sequence and structure
teaching some outdoor gym classes to the general public using Lat Pulldown , Chest/Shoulder Press , Leg Press , Elliptical machine and stationary bicycles

Must have:

own transport (preferably a car/motorcycle/scooter)
own fitness equipment (resistance bands whether tubular or flat, 1 Kg / 2kg dumbbells, foldable chair, exercise mat)
Certificate III in Group Fitness
experience leading older adults (60 and above) in mobility, strength training, resistance training
a strong understanding of the health conditions/ injuries which may affect older adults (hip/ knee replacements, prolapsed uterus, lumbar disc issues)
at least 1 or 2 years of experience leading non-branded group fitness classes
Australian Business Number
an appropriate visa that allows working in Australia
experience in multicultural job settings
Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance
Current First Aid and CPR certificates

Desirable qualifications:

Mat Pilates Certificate I and Yoga RYT 200
at least 2 years of experience teaching in either of the above mentioned certifications
