The Nurse Manager Grade 2 (NM Hospital@Home (H@H) is responsible for the day to day coordination of service delivery and patient flow across the Shoalhaven Hospital Group service. This includes effective communication and coordination of the nursing team and key internal and external stakeholders to ensure patient assessment and treatment are delivered in a timely, safe and efficient manner.
The NM2 acts as an expert clinical and operational resource for the H@H nursing team, providing leadership, supervision, support and guidance to nursing staff in relation to clinical care and the patient journey across the service. The role is responsible for recognising and responding to emerging issues, including identifying the need for and initiating appropriate service escalation processes.
In addition, the NM2 oversees designated management portfolios within the team, contributes to their own professional development and that of others, and supports the ongoing monitoring, evaluation and enhancement of unit services. The role provides operational and professional support to the Hospital@Home Nursing team to ensure high quality, patient centred care and continuous service improvement.

Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital is the main referral hospital for the Shoalhaven region, providing emergency care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic services. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on high dependency and coronary patients, Children’s Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre.
The hospital is currently undergoing a significant $440M redevelopment that will redefine how healthcare is delivered within the Region.
