This position is being offered on a full time, ongoing basis and will be based at our Cannington site.

You’ll be supported by a team of coaches, mentors and counsellors. Together, we can make a positive change in the lives of others. We have multiple roles available.

Kickstart your career with Workskil Australia. We’ll provide comprehensive training, and help you achieve a Certificate IV in Community Services within the first 12 months on the job.

Key Responsibilities

Employment Coach is a dynamic and rewarding position. You will play a key role in assisting our customers to set and achieve their goals while meeting the contractual requirements of an employment service provider.

Your day-to-day can include the following:

Assisting diverse customers in overcoming personal and professional challenges

Referring customers to internal and external support for housing, mental health and financial counselling
Providing additional mentoring and support during the first six months of employment

Documenting customer information and progress accurately within Workskil Australia and Government systems

About You

You’ll be a great fit for the team if you have a passion and drive for helping others. You will be self-motivated, inclusive and open-minded, and willing to listen and support without judgement. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working independently and as part of a team
Ability to achieve individual targets and work to clearly defined KPIs
Strong administration skills and IT literacy, including data entry, Word, Excel and Outlook
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Meeting a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute

Applicants with previous experience in employment services will be highly regarded.

Remuneration

A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax effective salary packaging.
