Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable CASUAL cleaner on Saturdays to join our team at a meat processing facility. This role involves industrial cleaning using high-pressure hoses and specialised cleaning equipment and chemicals to ensure all areas meet strict hygiene, safety, and sanitation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitising of processing areas, equipment, walls, floors, and drains using high-pressure hoses and appropriate chemicals.
Remove waste, debris, and residues from machinery and work surfaces.
Dismantle and reassemble processing equipment as required for deep cleaning.
Ensure compliance with food safety and WHS standards at all times.
Complete daily cleaning checklists and report any maintenance or safety issues.
Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with SDS guidelines.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet cleaning schedules and deadlines.

Requirements:

Previous experience in industrial or food processing cleaning preferred.
Experience using high-pressure cleaning equipment preferred.
Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP knowledge advantageous).
Ability to work independently and follow strict cleaning protocols.
Physically fit and able to work in cold, wet, and fast-paced environments.
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious attitude.
Availability from 3:30pm Monday to Friday and from 1:30pm on Saturday.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Application Question(s):

Do you have full working rights in Australia?
Do you have previous experience cleaning in a meat processing, food manufacturing, or industrial facility?
Are you familiar with safe chemical handling procedures and using SDS (Safety Data Sheets)?
This role involves working in cold, wet, and sometimes confined environments. Are you comfortable working under these conditions?
The job requires standing, bending, and using heavy cleaning equipment for long periods. Are you physically fit and able to meet these requirements?
Do you have any existing injuries or medical conditions that may affect your ability to perform physical cleaning work safely?
Do you have reliable transport to get to and from the facility (given night hours, you're unable to rely on public transport)?
Can you commit to consistent attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts in Malaga?
Do you currently hold, or are you willing to obtain, a current Police Clearance?
Do you understand this is a casual/subcontractor work that will only fill in when current staff are on leave?
This role is 1:30pm - 6:30pm every Saturday? However, we also require fill in weekday work when staff are on leave. Are you available from 3:30pm - 10:00pm Monday to Friday?
