Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum (plus superannuation, commensurate with experience)

About Us

We are a high-quality early learning centre dedicated to providing a nurturing, safe, and healthy environment where children can thrive.

We are currently seeking a passionate, reliable, and organized Childcare Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be the heart of our kitchen, responsible for planning and preparing nutritious, delicious, and age-appropriate meals that fuel growing minds and bodies.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and serve fresh, healthy breakfasts, morning teas, lunches, and afternoon teas for children daily.
Design and implement rotating seasonal menus that align with National Quality Standards (NQS) and dietary guidelines for early childhood.
Strictly manage and cater to diverse dietary requirements, including severe allergies (Anaphylaxis), intolerances, religious practices, and cultural preferences.
Maintain the highest standards of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety, including keeping detailed Food Safety Program logs.
Manage kitchen stock, ordering, and budgeting while ensuring minimal wastage.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience working as a cook (experience in a childcare, school, or care facility is highly regarded).
Qualifications: Must hold a relevant Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher qualification).
Certifications: A current Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Compliance: A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and relevant police checks are mandatory for this role.
Skills: Excellent time management, strong understanding of childhood nutrition, and strict attention to detail regarding allergies.
Attitude: A warm, friendly demeanor with a genuine passion for supporting children's health and wellbeing.
