Employment Type
Casual
Employment is offered on a casual basis.
Shifts are allocated according to participant needs, worker suitability and operational requirements.
Casual employment does not guarantee a minimum number of hours.
Salary
From $35.00 per hour (Casual) plus Superannuation, applicable SCHADS Award penalty rates, weekend and public holiday penalties, travel allowances and kilometre reimbursement where applicable.
Classification and remuneration will be determined in accordance with the SCHADS Award based on qualifications, experience and the inherent requirements of the role.
About the Role
You will support adults living with complex physical disabilities and high support needs within Supported Independent Living (SIL), participant homes and community settings.
Working alongside Registered Nurses, Team Leaders, allied health professionals and Support Coordinators, you will deliver supports that promote participant safety, independence, dignity and quality of life.
Depending on participant needs and your assessed competency, responsibilities may include:
- Personal care and activities of daily living.
- Safe manual handling and specialised transfers.
- Community participation and transport.
- High-intensity support activities following competency assessment and delegated clinical guidance.
- PEG feeding.
- Dysphagia and mealtime support.
- Urinary catheter support.
- Complex bowel care.
- Pressure care and skin integrity management.
- Medication assistance within scope of practice.
- Clinical observations and reporting.
- Accurate progress notes and incident reporting.
All duties are performed in accordance with participant support plans, organisational policies, delegated clinical guidance (where applicable) and the NDIS Practice Standards.
Participants You May Support
Participants may include adults living with:
- Spinal cord injury.
- Acquired brain injury with complex physical support needs.
- Progressive neurological conditions.
- Degenerative neurological disorders.
- Complex mobility impairments.
- Participants transitioning from hospital or rehabilitation into community living.
Supports are delivered only where they align with participant goals, assessed needs, identified risks and EddenRose's service capability.

Essential Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate the ability to perform the inherent requirements of the role and possess:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain before commencement).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Reliable, registered and insured motor vehicle where transport forms part of the role.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to complete before commencement).
- Right to work in Australia.
- Smartphone with internet access.
- Ability to communicate effectively and complete accurate electronic documentation.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
The following are highly regarded but not essential:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Certificate IV in Disability, Enrolled Nurse qualification or another relevant qualification.
- Experience supporting adults with complex physical disabilities or high support needs.
- Experience within Supported Independent Living (SIL), rehabilitation, hospital transition or community disability services.
- Experience supporting participants requiring delegated high-intensity supports.
- Understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators.
Where required, EddenRose provides competency-based training and assessment before employees perform delegated high-intensity support activities.
