About the Role
We are seeking a Casual Support Worker to join our team to support to one of our clients for 4 hours weekly schedule.
In this role, you will provide in-home support and assistance to our client who has a disability (Autism), helping him maintain his independence and achieve his personal goals.
Work Location & Times:
- Tuesdays at 3:00 PM – pick-up from Werribee (2-hour shift)
- Thursdays at 4:00 PM – pick-up from North Altona (2-hour shift)
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide social support and companionship to clients, engaging them in meaningful activities and outings.
- Advocate for clients and liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure their needs are met.
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
- Maintain detailed client records and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the broader support team to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
What We're Looking For
- Fluency in English.
- Experience working with clients preferably within the disability support sector, particularly people with intellectual disability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- A caring, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting clients with diverse needs.
- Relevant qualifications in disability support, or a related field (essential).
- A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential).
