OOSH Assistant Coordinator

Part Time, 60 hours per fortnight
$33.84-$35.80 per hour

Monday - 6:30-10am and 2:30-5:30pm

Tuesday - 6:30-830am and 2:30-6:00pm

Wednesday - 6:30-10am and 2:30-5:30pm

Thursday - 6:30-10am and 2:30-5:30pm

Friday - 6:30-10am and 2:30-5:30pm

About the role

The OOSH Assistant Coordinator is a critical member of the Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College Team. The role is primarily responsible for:

Assist the OSHC Coordinator/ Nominated Supervisor to provide leadership and management to educators/ staff regarding all aspects of the operation of the service in line with relevant regulations and procedures
Liaise closely with and provide periodical reports to the OSHC Coordinator/ Nominated Supervisor regarding matters relating to the smooth operation of the service
Perform the role of OSHC Coordinator/ Nominated Supervisor in the absence of the OSHC Coordinator/ Nominated Supervisor

Essential criteria:

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
Current Provide an Emergency First Aid response in an Education and Care Setting qualification
Current ACECQA approved Anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training
Valid Working with Children Check
Accredited Child Protection Training
Be willing to accept the role of Nominated Supervisor under the Education and Care Services National Law Application Bill 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations
Minimum 2 year experience in a leadership position in an Out of School Hours Care/Vacation Care Service or minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position in an Out of School Hours Care service
Previous experience in all areas of administrative procedure, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training, team leadership and management of staff.
Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation
Demonstrated knowledge of service’s requirements of the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) system and ability to perform software application for compliance
